Santos attacker Marcos Leonardo has now become Roma’s priority on the transfer-market.
In the last hours, Roma have intensified talks with Leonardo’s entourage and are serious about signing him following Lazio’s recent withdrawal from the race for the 20-year-old.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport, Marcos Leonardo has already agreed to a move to Roma and given his OK to the capital club who will now open talks with Santos.
Moreover, Di Marzio reports that Leonardo’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, is expected to meet with the Brazilian club in the coming hours.
Santos want to secure a replacement before letting Leonardo go, but time is not on their side as the transfer window in Brazil closes on 2 August.
