Marcos Leonardo is doing everything he can to join Roma in the days to come.
The Brazilian forward – after having agreed to personal terms with the Giallorossi – is intent on having Santos respect his transfer request and activate his release clause which Roma fulfilled by matching the requested fee.
At the moment, relations are tense between the player and Santos management.
As reported by BOL, Leonardo met with new Santos head coach Diego Aguirre and reiterated his desire to play at Roma.
Leonardo also reaffirmed his stance on no longer training with the rest of the team. The player will therefore not be called up for Santos’ next game with Fortaleza.
