Brazilian attacker Marcos Leonardo has reportedly rejected an offer from Flamengo.
The 20-year-old forward has been famously linked with Roma over the course of the summer.
However, talks for a permanent move collapsed as a result of Santos’ intention to keep Leonardo amidst their fight to avoid relegation.
The player was thus promised a move in January which he eagerly awaits.
According to today’s edition Corriere dello Sport, Brazilian side Flamengo recently approached Leonardo with a tempting offer.
Leonardo, however, rejected Flamengo as a destination and remains confident in a January transfer to Roma.
The capital club, on the other hand, are considering acquiring Leonardo and immediately sending him out on loan in Serie A for the remainder of the season.
