Roma are reportedly ready to close a preliminary agreement with Santos for Marcos Leonardo.

After all, the Brazilian attacker will join the Giallorossi following weeks of negotiations between the sides.

However, the move will take place in January as Santos refused to let the 20-year-old go as their fight against relegation continues.

According to Brazilian football expert Nathan Joyes, Leonardo will complete his move to Roma on the basis of around €10 million.

Filippo Biafora of Il Tempo reports that the agreement will indeed come under the initial fixed fee of €12 million which Roma suggested in this summer window.

Santos are expected to earn some add-ons, but the capital club seem to have made their intentions clear and are ready to close the deal.
