Roma target Marcos Leonardo will leave Santos in January, as confirmed by his agent.
In an interview with calciomercato.com, Rafaela Pimenta – Leonardo’s agent – was asked about Roma and Newcastle’s interest in the 20-year-old attacker.
The Italian agent confirmed the striker will seek a January transfer after his summer move to Roma collapsed in August.
“Already in the previous window he had the possibility of being sold, but Santos’ sporting situation was very particular. He agreed to stay because he wanted to help out until the end of the season.”
“He didn’t want to leave because it wasn’t the right thing to do. But the time has come to move. He wants to have a European experience and his time will come in January.”
