Marcos Senesi an option for the defense

With the transfer window currently underway, Roma are busy working on player exits. With Kluivert and Olsen likely to be the next ones in line to leave the capital, the Roman club are also beginning to study various possibilities on the market including the center-back position.

According to Il Messaggero, Marcos Senesi of Feyenoord is one of the candidates Roma are looking to bring in in case of Smalling’s departure before the end of the transfer window. Although the Englishman is nowhere near an exit from the club right now, Roma are studying alternatives for that particular position.

Senesi is considered to have the qualities needed to perform under Mourinho at the back including physicality, pace and leadership skills. The 24-year-old defender spent the past two years in the Eredivisie after leaving his boyhood club San Lorenzo.
