Spanish defender Mario Hermoso is nearing a move to Roma.
The free agent will sign a two-year contract with an option for the third year, reports Matteo Moretto of Relevo.
Following Kevin Danso’s failed medical, Roma turned to the free agent market and overtook Galatasaray in the race for Hermoso who had already been linked with the likes of Inter, Napoli and Bologna in the past.
As confirmed by Fabrizio Romano, Daniele De Rossi played an active role in bringing Hermoso to the capital – talking to him on the phone last night when Roma were finalizing the agreement with the player’s agent.
Hermoso is expected to land in Italy today ahead of his Roma medical – Gianluca Di Marzio of Sky Sport reports that Hermoso will land in Fiumicino Airport at 14h00 CEST.
