Marotta-Petrachi duel, Politano could still arrive

Leggo (Balzani) – On one side there’s (Inter CEO) Marotta and on the other side there’s (Roma sporting director) Petrachi — and in the middle there are Spinazzola and Politano.

The transfer market battle between Inter and Rome, at the end of a grotesque week, continued yesterday with the words of the two directors.

”At the end of our technical and economic evaluations, the club found itself in a position where we couldn’t reach a conclusion to the deal. These things happen in football. Roma embarrassed? We didn’t take a photo of Spinazzola in an Inter scarf,” said Marotta.

Then it was Petrachi who responded, “The deal was done, what did we have to wait for? The truth is that Ausilio and Marotta did not speak to each other”.

Is it all over then? No. In fact, the negotiation that concerns Politano has reopened. The attacker had requested to leave the Nerazzurri and could join Roma on loan with an option to buy.

“Common sense must always prevail,” Petrachi added. “Those who deal with the transfer market knows that certain things can happen”.
