Olympique de Marseille’s president, Pablo Longaria, was recently asked about the club’s transfer-market deals in an interview to L’Equipe.
Longaria touched upon Pau Lopez and Cengiz Under – two Roma players currently on loan at OM.
“The obligation to buy for Ünder is triggered once we avoid relegation. For Lopez we’re just a few games away from reaching his twentieth appearance at the club, which will trigger the obligation.”
“Both obligations are practically automatic,” the president concluded.
Ünder joined Marseille in the summer on an initial loan deal for €500,000 with an obligation to buy set at €8.4 million.
Lopez, on the other hand, joined Marseille on loan for the 21/22 campaign for a fee of €500,000 with an obligation to buy set at €12 million following twenty appearances for the French side.
