Massara to meet with Pallotta tomorrow

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that current sporting director Ricky Massara will fly to Boston tomorrow along with other Giallorossi management as they prepare to meet president James Pallotta to discuss the future of the sporting project.

Massara will reach America on Monday to discuss the options for the next sporting director role to replace Monchi. He will stay there until Wednesday and will be joined at the meeting by Franco Baldini, the trusted consultant of Pallotta. There are two main options on the table: one involving current Lille director Luis Campos, in a supporting role to Masssara, who would stay in charge of the sporting direction. The second option could see Massara become the sole figure in charge of the sporting side, with complete decisional power, including in regards to the handling of the club’s internal resources, including Totti.

Massara is ready to take charge of the Giallorossi’s sporting project, but the club hasn’t yet decided. What remains to be seen is if he will be supported by Pallotta and Baldini, or if they prefer another option like Luis Campos, with whom the club had several contacts with in the past few weeks. The decision on the sporting director will also affect another important decision: who the next manager will be.
