Massimiliano Allegri laments slow start in Roma defeat

Andy Mattioli

Massimiliano Allegri and his men leave the Olimpico empty-handed after being defeated by Jose Mourinho’s Roma.

The Italian technician spoke about the match at full-time in an interview with DAZN.

“In the first half we could have done something more. We could have pushed them around more.”

“They’re a very tough team and ran a lot all game long. At the end of the first half they were starting to crack, but that’s when we conceded the goal.”

“This is football and you come out defeated, obviously the red card also contributed to the final result,” Allegri remarked.

“Kean? He made a mistake. He put the team in trouble. That’s all I have to say about it.”
