Matias Soulé weighed in on the team’s defeat to Hellas Verona in what could possibly be Ivan Juric’s final game as Roma’s head coach.

In his post-match interview with DAZN, “As you can see I am not happy at all.”

“It was a match to win like the others. But unfortunately it didn’t go that way, we deserved much more. We must not get ourselves down, we must get out of this situation to recover quickly.”

“The goal was a big relief. I hadn’t scored yet but given how the game went I didn’t expect it to go like this after my first goal.”

“I know I have to do much more, I’m aware of that. Even on a collective level, we have to get out of this situation by working hard.”

“We have to improve in some moments of the game, when you are winning and doing well we have to continue and not get yourself down.”

“We lack an understanding of the game,” he added.

“Sometimes we start well, leading the game and then something always happens, they score a goal from nowhere and then we drop back, resign ourselves to the situation.”
