RomaPress – Following extensive negotiations, Juventus youngster Matias Soulé touched down in the Italian capital late Sunday ahead of his transfer move to Roma.

The two sides reached an agreement earlier this week for the permanent transfer of the 21 year-old—the Giallorossi set to pay €26 million plus €4 million in bonuses to the Bianconeri, who retain a 10% sell-on clause for any future transfer.

After a one-hour delay, the Argentine touched down in Fiumicino Airport at 22h25 (CEST). Waiting for him were hundreds of fans singing and chanting his name.

The player was greeted by a crowd of supporters swarming the terminal of Fiumicino. Among them was Roma sporting director Florent Ghisolfi who personally came to collected Soulé from the airport.

He’s scheduled to undergo his medicals tomorrow morning before signing his 5-year contract with the Giallorossi.
