Roma appear to have found their replacement for injured left back Leonardo Spinazzola, who will be out of action until January.
After identifying several candidates, the Giallorossi have reportedly struck a deal with Palmeiras for Uruguayan international Matías Viña.
According to Uruguayan journalist Gonzalo Ronchi of Sport890, the operation will cost the capital club a total of €11 million plus €2.5 million in bonuses. In addition, Viña’s former club, Nacional, are entitled to 40% of the transfer fee.
The transfer comes on the heels of Roma finalising an exit for attacker Justin Kluivert, who is joining Nice on loan with an option to buy.
Viña leaves Palmeiras, who he joined in 2020, after tallying five goals and ten assists in 69 appearances in all competitions.
