Roma defender Mats Hummels took issue with rumors circulating about him supposedly leaving Roma’s bench during last night’s loss to Verona.
The German veteran published a Tweet on X, commenting the rumors and clarifying the situation.
“I’m being asked about this a lot at the moment, so I’ll clarify,” wrote Hummels.
“I didn’t go to the dressing room early yesterday. After warming up, I went back to the bench as usual and sat there until the final whistle.”
“To be honest, I don’t know how you came up with the other story.”
