Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri expressed his satisfaction with his side’s 1-0 win over Bayern Munich in last night’s Champions League fixture at Stadio Olimpico.

After the match, Sarri reflected on the importance of the Biancocelesti’s result and compared it to the importance of winning the Derby della Capitale against Roma.

“Obviously it’s very satisfying to be able to win against such strong opponents,” said the Tuscan technician.

“However, winning the Derby is perhaps even more satisfying,” he added, referring to Lazio’s recent elimination of Roma in the Coppa Italia quarter-finals in January.
