Roma have been linked with Argentine attacker Mauro Icardi of Paris Saint-Germain. Reports from France claim that the ex-Inter man has been offered to Roma recently.

According to footmercato, newly appointed PSG director Luis Campos has put, among others, Mauro Icardi to the door, pushing for a permanent exit. Due to Campos’ excellent relationship with Jose Mourinho, the Portuguese executive has approached Roma with Icardi in mind.

The former Inter captain has been excluded from Campos and Galtier’s plans for next season. However, his contract with PSG runs out in 2024 and his current salary of €12 million per year has reportedly put off several teams.

Moreover, Icardi hasn’t shown interest in joining the Giallorossi: the player wants to stay in Paris.
