Mayor of Rome Roberto Gualtieri clarifies: “No issues with Roma’s stadium project.”

The Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, addressed the situation regarding Roma’s long-awaited new stadium.

In an interview with Radio Roma Sound fm90, Gualtieri dismissed the rumors of the General Hospital Umberto I claiming the same area (Pietralata) Roma want to use for their new stadium.

“There is no such letter from the Polyclinic that says ‘those areas belong to us’,” said Gualtieri.

The areas that we have identified for the stadium are available to Roma, and therefore there is no interference between the question of the location of the new hospital with the stadium.”

“So it was a mistake, an oversight on the part of whoever wrote this article because fortunately this problem doesn’t exist.  Roma have said they plan to present the final project around the end of the year so we are moving forward.”
