Mayoral speaks ahead of Europa League fixture against Young Boys

Roma striker Borja Mayoral appeared on Sky Sport this evening just before the start of the Giallorossi’s Europa League showdown in Switzerland against Young Boys.

The Spaniard will be making his starting debut against the Swiss side after having come on as a substitute in last weekend’s victory over Benevento.

“It’s been three years since my last goal in Europe, so I’m ready to get back to scoring this evening,” proclaimed Mayoral.

“It’s difficult for a striker in Italy because the defences are strong, but I’m a striker, I play to score goals so I can’t wait to start playing both in Europe and the league.”

“Real Madrid’s loss? It’s a surprise, I hope they do better against Barcelona.”

The 23 year-old Mayoral will be joined in attack by fellow compatriots Pedro and Carles Pérez this evening.
