Juve boss Max Allegri is sweating his potential lack of midfield options five days ahead of Sunday’s showdown against Roma.

According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri have several question marks in the middle of the park as midfield duo Adrien Rabiot and Weston McKennie are unlikely to be available.

Rabiot tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday afternoon and was unavailable on Sunday for France’s Nations League final against Spain.

Meanwhile, McKennie was held out of America’s World Cup qualifier versus Panama on Saturday evening due to fatigue following their win on Thursday against Jamaica.

Further complicating Allegri’s options is the fact that both Rodrigo Bentancur and Danilo won’t return to Torino until Friday evening, less than 24 hours after Uruguay faces off against Brazil.

This could force the Italian technician to get creative given that Manuel Locatelli is the only certainty in midfield, with one option being Federico Bernardeschi.
