Meeting for Fonseca ends, Roma will now hold talks with Shakhtar

RomaPress – Paulo Fonseca is now closer than ever to becoming the next manager at AS Roma. Roma’s Guido Fienga and Gianluca Petrachi met this afternoon and into the evening in Lisbon with the entourage of the Shakhtar Donetsk boss and have the framework in place on a two-year contract, however, they must first understand if the Ukrainian side will let Fonseca go for free or if they will require any compensation. The ex-Porto boss has a €5 million release clause in his contract, however, the Giallorossi will try at all costs to avoid this and hope Shakhtar will let Fonseca leave for free.
