Cengiz Ünder is set to return to the Italian capital following his loan spell this past season with Leicester City ― though, he isn’t expected to stay for long.
According to calciomercato.com, super-agent Fali Ramadani, who represents a number of players including Ünder, is meeting with Milan this afternoon at their headquarters.
Reportedly, the Turk is one of the names that Ramadani is discussing with the Rossoneri’s Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara.
Milan were previously linked with Ünder just over a year ago during the January 2020 transfer window. The sides were unable to strike a deal and the attacker ultimately stayed in Rome for the remainder of the campaign.
The Giallorossi are eager to part ways with the attacker, hoping to potentially cash-in and earn a capital gain from his sale.
The Italians paid nearly €14 million to acquire him in the summer of 2017 from Başakşehir. After an impressive maiden season in Serie A, Ünder struggled to replicate his form in the successive two years, eventually losing his place under ex-manager Paulo Fonseca.
