Meeting this week for Kessie

Il Corriere dello Sport: The circle to close the operation for Atalanta midfielder Franck Kessie is coming to a close; and it could be completed so early as next week.

There will be a meeting in Milan this week, perhaps as early as Wednesday, scheduled between Roma, Atalanta and the player’s agent, George Atangana, who is the final piece to the puzzle. Roma will try to find an agreement for personal terms; on the table is a 5 year contract. There is already a base set for the contract thanks to mediation work already having been done, now the sides must finalise the details.

Monchi is arriving on 27 April in Rome and it’s possible the parties will wait for the Spaniard to be present. But Roma don’t want to delay anything for the operation. They’ve held off interest from England and want to finalise the operation. The friendship between the two clubs had been proven with this transfer as the Percassi family kept their promise with Roma for the player.
