Medhi Benatia discusses Paulo Dybala’s arrival in the Italian capital

Former Giallorossi defender and Dybala’s Juventus teammate Medhi Benatia was asked to comment the Argentine’s arrival in the Italian capital following his exit from the Bianconeri earlier in the summer.

“At first it was a surprise to imagine him at Roma – Paulo could make a fortune all over Europe,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I knew that his priority was to stay in Italy and therefore I am very happy for him: seeing a player of his class and skill in a place like Rome will be nice.”

“Roma are coming off a great season, but having somebody like Dybala changes the whole team. I agree with Allegri, it may be the right place for him.”

“I spoke with him recently, he also said that he chose the right place: he will soon understand how good it feels to play for Roma.”

“Also because there is Mourinho, he is great, he will always find a way to bring a trophy home, and the players know it and follow him because of it. I wish I had had someone like him.”
