RomaPress – Two prominent members of Dan Friedkin’s legal team have touched down in the Italian capital as the President of the Giallorossi and his son, Vice President Ryan Friedkin, continue their work on restructuring the club’s hierarchy.

Their arrival in the Italian capital is a very strong signal that Roma are closing in on agreements for prominent figures that will play a huge role at the club — and one of these names has already been secured.

As first reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the American duo will indeed welcome Stefano Scalera to the club in January. Doctor Scalera, who is the current Vice Cabinet Leader of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, will officially join the club in the winter after receiving a strong endorsement from club CEO Guido Fienga.

Scalera has a very strong financial and real estate background, two sectors that the Friedkin’s are familiar with, and will be help oversee Roma’s relations and partnerships with various institutions both in Italy in and abroad.

Meanwhile, multiple members of the Friedkin’s legal team have confirmed to RomaPress that their search for a new Sporting Director is running behind schedule — but they hope to appoint someone as soon as possible.

Atalanta’s Giovanni Sartori was a name that has circulated over the coming weeks, however, his arrival over the last 48 hours has become increasingly unlikely. The same can be said for Atletico Madrid’s Andrea Berta: the Italian is a name that has been pursed by the Giallorossi throughout the last two months, however — the 48 year-old seems to prefer to continue his adventure in Spain.
