Bologna manager Siniša Mihajlovic spoke today before tomorrow’s clash against Roma. These are his words:
What do you expect from Roma?
We know that Roma is stronger, but we know that we can put them in difficulty. Playing at the Olimpico is difficult, beyond how they are physically and mentally. Nothing changes for us: to get a result we have to have a great performance — we know that, but we aren’t going to Rome already defeated.
They have a young talent in Zaniolo.
He is a decisive youngster with huge prospects. Physically he is strong and technically he is good. I do not know who he looks like. I hope he looks like himself. I do not like to compare him to someone because he is at the beginning of his career. Though, we hope he isn’t good tomorrow.
Who start between Santander or Destro?
Both are good, they can play either alternatively or together. I do not exclude anything. Before I arrived, Santander was the first choice, but when a new manager arrives, everything is reset. I look at what they give me during the week in training and then I decide. I have some doubts to resolve. For me, it is important that there is healthy competition during the week.
You have a lot of affection for the city of Rome.
It is my adoptive city. I can’t deny being Laziale but apart from that, I give everything for the team I work for. I do not have to take revenge against Roma because so many years have passed and the fans are among the best in Europe.
The table?
We need to think about each game as it comes without worrying about the table. If we continue to play like this, we have excellent prospects of staying up.
