Georges Mikautadze will not be going to Roma after all.

The Georgian attacker is on the verge of completing a move to Monaco, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Romano reports that the deal between Metz and Monaco is at final stages and will be completed soon.

The player has already accepted Monaco’s proposal and is ready to return to playing in Ligue 1 after Metz’s relegation from the French top flight.

Roma were linked with Mikautadze over recent days but in the end the player appears to be inclined on staying in France.
