Alessandro Florenzi – currently completing his loan spell at Milan – was praised in Stefano Pioli’s recent press conference ahead of the Coppa Italia derby vs Inter.
The Milan boss hinted at the possibility of including the 30-year-old full-back in the Rossoneri’s long-term plans.
“He’s a really strong player,” said Pioli, when asked about the ex-PSG man. “Fortunately I have two full-backs with similar characteristics and equally strong.”
Pioli continued, “To me Florenzi is a starter in this team. […] I’m very happy with his performances and his attitude, he’s a player I can only speak well of.”
So far in this campaign, Alessandro Florenzi has featured in 18 league matches for the Rossoneri, scoring one goal.
The player himself has already communicated – according to numerous reports – to his agent his willingness to stay in Milan beyond this season, making the loan move permanent in June.
