Milan are on the lookout for a new attacking reinforcement following Hakan Çalhanoğlu’s departure for Inter on a free transfer.
One option the Rossoneri are considering to replace the Turkish midfielder is a compatriot of his: Roma’s Cengiz Ünder.
The Rossoneri are, according to Sky Sport, looking to acquire a player with a profile similar to the Turkish international. The club’s first choice would be Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez, but a move for him is unlikely due to his high price.
Ünder, meanwhile, is viewed as a less expensive alternative who would be much easier to acquire.
The 23 year-old spent last season on loan at Leicester City, but failed to make a big impact. The Foxes rejected the opportunity to make Ünder’s move permanent after he register no goal and two assists in 9 league appearances.
Despite returning to the Italian capital, Cengiz Ünder could be on the move again in the coming weeks.
