Milan open investigation into fans’ racist chants against Romelu Lukaku

Milan have publicly announced they will address the culprits behind the racist chants against Roma attacker Romelu Lukaku.

Video footage from Friday night at Stadio Olimpico showed a group of Milan supporters chanting racist slurs at Romelu Lukaku who made his debut for Roma.

In an official statement, Milan announced an investigation of the episode.

“At Milan there is no room for discrimination and intolerance, and we are sure that this attitude is shared among our true supporters who follow us constantly. We will work together with the authorities to ensure that the facts are ascertained and those responsible for the insults heard at the Stadio Olimpico are identified. We will be ready to apply our code of ethics to punish the individual culprits.”
