Tonight’s league match between Milan and Roma will feature more key absences after two players and three staff members of the Rossoneri tested positive for COVID-19 today.
Milan announced on their official website that, “The results that were received today from yesterday evening’s COVID tests revealed positive results for Gianluigi Donnarumma, Jens Petter Hauge and three other members of the staff.”
“All are asymptomatic, were immediately subjected to home isolation and the local health authorities were informed. Today the whole team was tested again, as per protocol, and no new positive cases were found.”
This means that Milan boss Stefano Pioli will be without his first choice goalkeeper for this evening’s affair against the Giallorossi, who are also suffering the consequences of the pandemic.
Roma will be without midfielder Amadou Diawara and left back Riccardo Calafiori, both of whom tested positive for COVID over one week ago.
