Milan manager Stefano Pioli oversaw his side’s 3-0 victory over Lecce earlier today.
At full-time, the Italian technician analyzed the Rossoneri’s positive streak and what it means as they prepare to face Roma in the Europa League quarterfinals.
In his post-match interview with DAZN, Pioli commented, “We won against Lecce, now we have another important challenge in the Europa League. It will be an important match for both teams, we will prepare as best we can.”
“We want to continue with this positive momentum. The next month and a half will be important and we’ll manage, I’m sure, but in football opinions change quickly.”
“We want to finish second in the league and win the Europa League, it would be something important and it is our goal. Roma are at a higher level than Rennes and Slavia Prague, but we will try to gain an advantage by playing the first leg at home.”
