Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders expressed his frustration at full-time of the Rossoneri’s defeat in the first leg of the Europa League quarterfinals with Roma.
Following the 0-1 defeat to the Giallorossi, Reijnders discussed his team’s performance in an interview with UEFA TV.
“The main problem for us tonight was conceding a goal from a set piece,” he said. “It forced us into a difficult position.”
“We had to advance and put pressure on them to score. We know we have to put them under pressure in the return leg.”
“I tried to put myself in a position to score, I took several shots towards their goal but their goalkeeper was good,” he added, praising Roma’s Mile Svilar.
