Mile Svilar eager for potential Roma debut versus Ludogorets

Roma’s backup shot-stopper Mile Svilar sat alongside Jose Mourinho for the team’s pre-match press conference ahead of what could be his official debut with the Giallorossi.

The capital club kick off their Europa League campaign tomorrow versus Ludogorets and the former Benfica man is tipped to give Rui Patricio a break and replace the veteran in goal.

“I’m extremely happy for this competition to get started,” said Svilar. “We’ll try to do our best this year.”

“There’s many games in front of us and we got a very busy schedule on our hands, but the team’s doing well and we’ll do our best. One step at a time.”

He added, “I’m feeling great as a new Roma player. I’ve settled in nicely, the team is wonderful and the lads have accepted me in the best of ways.”
