Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar’s ascent in recent weeks hasn’t gone unnoticed.

The shot-stopper was in fact promoted to a starting role in Daniele De Rossi’s formation after impressing everyone with his performances in the Europa League against Feyenoord, providing key saves in the decisive penalty shoot-out that ended in Roma’s favor and secured their place in the knockout phase.

In fact, his performances have earned him a call-up back into the Serbian national team and his name was included in Dragan Stojković’s temporary squad list for the upcoming international clashes with Russia and Cyprus on 21 and 25 March, respectively.

The call-up represents Svilar’s returned to Serbia’s national team for the first time in nearly three years—his last appearance occurring in September 2021 in a friendly versus Qatar.
