Mile Svilar on becoming Roma’s starting goalkeeper: “It’s incredible.”

Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar was once again involved from the start in tonight’s 4-0 win over Brighton in the Europa League Round of 16.

After imposing himself in Daniele De Rossi’s initial string of matches, Svilar was confirmed as the Giallorossi’s starting goalkeeper ahead of Rui Patricio.

In his post-match reaction, Svilar said, “It’s incredible for me to be able to start every game. It’s a dream come true for any player at this level.”

“Tonight the whole team did really well. But now we must think about Sunday when we will face Fiorentina,” he added.

“I like playing out from the back and contributing to the team’s action. It’s an idea that the coach is trying to share with us. We’re doing what he’s asking of us and we believe in him.”
