Roma’s hero of the night proved to be Mile Svilar as the Serbian shot-stopper provided the Giallorossi with two key saves in last night’s penalty shoot-out with Feyenoord.
The 25-year-old was interviewed after the game by Sky Sport, where he discussed his positive spell after impressing Daniele De Rossi and carving out his place in the team’s starting eleven ahead of Rui Patricio.
“It is important that this confidence carries over into the performances on the pitch. I am much calmer now, and I thank the coach for his trust,” said Svilar when asked about De Rossi’s confidence in him.
“It’s an experience my family and I never forget. Nobody is taking our smiles away tonight. Tomorrow we will focus on the game against Torino, which we hope to win.”
