Roma goal-keeper Mile Svilar was the latest guest of the AS Roma Podcast.
The 24-year-old was invited to talk about his heroics in the team’s win over Feyenoord on Thursday night, where he provided his side with two key saves.
During the interview, Svilar was specifically asked about his celebratory run under the Curva Sud upon the final whistle.
“It wasn’t something I had thought about doing. I felt it at that moment and I did it. I am very happy, it will always remain in my memory, very emotional.”
“When I think about it it makes me smile. I’ve seen it so many times these days. Now we want to focus on Monday’s game because it is very important.”
“De Rossi? He told me to pay attention to VAR for penalties. When I saved the first one maybe I thought I might have made a mistake and put my feet wrong, but it stood.”
“Before the penalties Azmoun also told me that Jahanbakhsh would shoot to the right and half height for sure. I said I knew and so it was.”
“Brighton? They are a tough opponent, it will be difficult. But I believe in this team and I believe we can go far and do something special. European matches in this stadium are always special.”
