Mile Svilar speaks ahead of third Europa League start versus Slavia Praha

Roma goal-keeper Mile Svilar is once again set to replace Rui Patricio in goal in Roma’s upcoming Europa League match.

Having already featured in the first two Europa League games of the season, Svilar will take his place in Mourinho’s starting line-up tomorrow evening against Slavia Praha.

The young shot-stopper attended today’s press conference to discuss his expectations for the night.

“I think it will be a difficult game,” said Svilar. “They have a good team, but we hope to win despite the level of difficulty.”

“I’m still young, I have to take the opportunities the coach gives me. I’m focused every day because this is my job. Now I’m focused on tomorrow, next year is next year.”

“I feel mentally improved and I’ve worked with Nuno Santos for a year and a half in order to get better and better. I got used to working with the team and now I’m more mature and more of a goalkeeper.”

“I never considered leaving Roma on loan. That was not an option for me this summer,” he added.

“Since last season the team has changed a bit, there are new players and they always have to work and get integrated with the rest of the team and it’s not easy. We have changed the way we play out from the back but we have the players to do this. We have improved and I hope we will improve every game.”
