Mile Svilar’s role at Roma is expected to expand within the coming months.
After struggling for playing time under former Roma boss Jose Mourinho, Svilar is now being selected as the team’s starting goal-keeper by Daniele De Rossi.
The Serbian’s impressive display with Feyenoord and Frosinone has prompted De Rossi to continue instilling more confidence in him, especially given that Rui Patricio’s performances had left much to be desired.
With 36-year-old Patricio set to leave Roma at the end of the season, Corriere della Sera predicts that Svilar is about to become Roma’s starting goal-keeper for the remainder of this year’s campaign.
The capital club have yet to make a decision with regards to Svilar’s long-term fit and possible investment in goal in the upcoming summer window.
