Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar is expected to turn down the Serbian national team.

The 24-year-old’s recent ascent from back-up choice to Roma’s starting shot-stopper prompted the Serbian national team to include him in the preliminary squad list for their upcoming international engagements with Cyprus and Russia.

However, Informer.rs reports that Svilar will not accept this invitation.

According to the Serbian news portal, Svilar has informed their federation of his decision as he hopes to be taken into consideration by Belgium given his dual citizenship.
