Mile Svilar is a man on a mission after climbing his way into Daniele De Rossi’s starting line-up.
The 25-year-old back-up shot-stopper was recently able to overtake veteran Rui Patricio in De Rossi’s hierarchy and is now aiming to keep his place in Roma’s XI for the remainder of the season.
According to TuttoSport, however, the implications of Mile Svilar starting for Roma in the last months of this year’s campaign could carry over into the club’s summer transfer plans.
Svilar wants to convince Roma to be on him as their long-term option in goal given that he has still three years left on his deal with the Giallorossi.
Roma are also famously monitoring several players for the position, seeking a replacement of Rui Patricio in the summer. Nothing has been decided yet, and Svilar could surprise the club’s management.
