Mile Svilar’s entourage meet with Roma to finalize details of new contract

Roma are closing in on a new deal for goal-keeper Mile Svilar.

The Serbian shot-stopper will soon be reconfirmed as Roma’s first-choice option in goal in their new long-term project.

As Rui Patricio’s time at Roma draws to an end, the Giallorossi are planning to reward Svilar with a new contract.

Svilar overtook Patricio in Daniele De Rossi’s hierarchy in February and did not let go of his place in the team’s starting XI.

Now, Il Romanista reports that Svilar’s entourage are expected in Trigoria within the next weeks to finalize the details of a new contract for the 25-year-old.

Svilar’s current deal expires in 2027; Roma are aiming to extend by at least one additional year.

The player’s salary will also be significantly boosted given that Svilar presently earns less than €1 million.

Roma want to seal the new deal prior to preseason training scheduled in the first week of July.
