Milik informs Napoli that he wants to remain despite contract situation

Despite having been left out of the Partenopei’s upcoming friendlies, Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik has informed the club that he wants to remain for the upcoming season.

Milik has only one year remaining on his contract with the club, but Sky Sport has reported that the Polish international has informed Napoli that he wants to see out the final season of his deal — even though he could leave for free next summer.

The player considers himself off the market and won’t consider leaving before the end of the transfer window.

Milik’s stay at Napoli will likely close any potential arrival at Roma, which would subsequently result in the stay of Edin Dzeko with the Giallorossi.
