RomaPress – The deal that will see Arek Milik join Roma and Edin Dzeko go to Juventus has encountered a small delay, but the double transfer is not at risk.
The Polish international, Milik, flew today to St. Moritz, Switzerland – not Austria as reported by Sky Sport – to undergo the first part of his medical examinations with the Giallorossi at Klinik Gut.
Milik is being examined by orthopedic specialist Dr. Georg Ahlbäumer and has been accompanied by his agent, David Pantak. Following the check-up, Milik will immediately return to Rome to formalise the deal with the Giallorossi.
In the meantime, though, a minor issue has emerged with Napoli. Milik still has unpaid fines with the club dating back to last season. The Partenopei are asking that the fine be paid before the deal can go through.
Due to the delay, Edin Dzeko will not fly today to Turin and will take part in the Giallorossi’s match tomorrow against Hellas Verona, which was confirmed by Roma boss Paulo Fonseca.
There is no fear between the parties that the operation will collapse — the entourage of the Bosnian believes that the deal will likely go through this weekend.
