Former Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic was recently asked about Serie A’s top coaches and specifically about Luciano Spalletti with whom he worked for a brief spell in his final months as a Giallorossi player in the second half of the 2015/16 season.
“I was unlucky to have worked with Spalletti only six months,” Pjanic remarked in an interview with Tuttosport.
“It was a great pleasure to play in his team. Those were six beautiful months because of how fun his football was. So I don’t find it surprising that Napoli are playing so well.”
“He’s an incredible manager, really wonderful technician. I regret moving on from his Roma so early on.”
