Former Lazio attacker and German legend Miroslav Klose shared his thoughts on Daniele De Rossi – his former rival from the Derby days – and his appointment as Roma’s head coach.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Klose weighed in on this development; “Knowing the club is an advantage: Simone Inzaghi, whom I had at Lazio as my coach, knew the environment perfectly. In those cases you know where to turn, and you know the manager is aware of how to handle things.”

“De Rossi is a perfect example of this. He didn’t have much experience but the club relied on him. I think that with the players available he can do better than what he did in Serie B. The quality of the players is higher.”

“I would also like to coach Lazio, but what counts is the feeling you have when you talk to the club that chooses you,” he added.
