Leggo (F. Balzani): The letter “M” will be the theme of the last phase of the transfer market of Roma.
The two last great remaining prizes for the market of Monchi are: the renewal of Manolas and the purchase of Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez. A renewal and a purchase that would seemingly close the transfer market of Roma in numerical terms, unless there are other sales (such as Skorupski or Fazio). The way to arriving at the renewal of Manolas seems to be less tortuous than the recent past. The defender, however, is not leaving the request he made a year ago: an extension until 2021 with wages of €3 million plus bonuses per season, lmost twice as much as he earns now. Manolas is also one who Juve are ready to try and buy for the “after Bonucci” even if their first goal remains Thiago Silva. During the tour, Pallotta has often joked with Manolas. But now he will have to be serious and meet the demands of the Greek, who less than a month ago seemed like a step away from Zenit. Monchi will deal with the matter and there is no ruling out a “blitz” with his agent Evangelopoulos, which would allow Roma to announce two renewals during their American tour: the renewal of Nainggolan, which could possibly be announced before the match against Tottenham, and that of Manolas.
The priority of the voyage to America for Monchi, however, remains the great potential purchase of Mahrez. Roma’s intention is to raise the offer to €30-32 million plus bonuses and leverage the will of the player to leave Leicester. The English club, for now, does not move from their asking price of €40 million.
