Roma are about to enter the pitch and face their city rivals in tonight’s edition of Derby della Capitale, a match that could prove crucial for the league standings as the season starts to wind down.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan was interviewed by DAZN ahead of kick-off and stated the team was ready and up for the challenge. “It’s not easy to stay sharp when you’re playing so often, but playing every 3-4 days also does you good.”
“We are ready,” said the Armenian attacker. “This is not a regular match where we can say that we’re tired. Tonight we play with our minds, we’ll remain calm and we’ll do everything we can to play better than our opponents in order to win.”
When asked about his recent lack of scoring, Mkhitaryan said, “For me playing is what matters most, because I want to have fun and I want to help the team. I do what the coach tells me.”
