Roma attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan was interviewed by Roma TV before the start of the Giallorossi’s opening match against Hellas Verona. Here’s what the Armenian had to say before kick-off:
What ambitions do you have?
We are focused and ready to start strong, we must have faith in today and in the next games. The goal is to finish in the top four and win a trophy. Last year we didn’t succeed, this year we have to try. We have a team with great potential, I’m sure we can win.
Do you feel like a leader?
I do what I have to do. If I can help my teammates with goals or assists I do it. I try to help my teammates, it’s important for me.”
Do you feel better as an attacking midfielder or as a forward?
The most important thing is playing.
